LIBR 203 Module 5 assigment

Reading through the "Skills Needed to Succeed in an Online Class", time management seems to be one of the most, if not the most important skill to develop. I have been a procrastinator in the past; only recently have I made it a point to get ahead of the assignments and stay ahead in my classes. Being in this program is going to be one of the biggest challenges for me. I have to budget and manage my time wisely. I have unsuccessfully created calandars galore in the past, but for some reason, I never seem to look at the clandar daily to remind myself of when my assignements are due. So, hopefully, developing the habit of looking at my clandar everyday will make me more aware of when my assignments are due.

Group work has always been a challenge for me. I usually end up in a group with at least one person who refuses to do their share, or I end up doing almost all fo the work myself. I am hoping that using tips such as: defining roles, and thinking about what I can bring to a team (or what role I can play to make the team successful), will help. I also hope to use the criteria for a successful team that Dr. Haycock went over in his presentation. Such items as:

1. Clarity in team goals
2. Establishing ground rules ( this one I like a lot, there would be no confusion)
3.Having clear communication ( this is always important when working on a team)

I hope these elements will help me to be a better team member and have a better group experience.
